Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP)

Blended Intensive Programme (BIP)

The Blended Intensive Programme is a new type of international mobility within the Erasmus+ program, combining short-term physical mobility (5 to 30 days) with a virtual component (online meetings, workshops, presentations, etc.). These are intensive courses featuring innovative teaching methods.

Where to Attend a BIP?

A Blended Intensive Programme lasts between five and thirty days and is organized by a foreign university. It can either be a BIP designed for selected international partners (a so-called closed BIP) or one open to all students from partner universities (a so-called open BIP).

Participation is subject to an Erasmus Inter-Institutional Agreement (IIA) between CEVRO University and the university organizing the BIP. This agreement defines the number and type of mobilities available under the Erasmus+ program between the institutions (you can find a list of our partner universities here).

CEVRO University can also establish an Inter-Institutional Agreement specifically for your participation in a BIP, but you must contact the university's international office well in advance to allow sufficient time for the process.

Conditions for CEVRO University Students Participating in a Foreign BIP

BIPs are open to both students and staff of CEVRO University.

  • The duration of the physical activity within the short-term blended mobility ranges from 5 to 30 days, while the virtual component has no time restrictions (but must be completed).
  • Mobility is funded from CEVRO University’s allocated Erasmus+ budget, with financial support calculated based on the expected duration of stay:
    • Days 1–14: €79 per day
    • Days 15–30: €56 per day
  • In addition to accommodation costs, travel expenses are covered according to distance bands.
  • Students with fewer opportunities are eligible for additional financial support.

The financial support only partially covers expenses—it is intended as a contribution to the increased costs associated with studying abroad, and student co-financing is expected. The online mobility period is not financially supported by Erasmus+. Financial support is granted only for the duration of physical mobility.

How to Find a BIP?

  • In the voluntary BIP database, where organizing universities can list their programs: https://erasmusbip.org/
  • On the websites of foreign universities

How to Apply for a BIP?

Applications for a BIP must be submitted at least 40 days before the start of the program.

The BIP should be related to your field of study.

Once you have chosen a BIP and verified that an Erasmus Inter-Institutional Agreement exists between CEVRO University and the organizing university, contact our International Relations Department.
